and it got relatively good reviews, Feral was on talk shows where well known hosts praised his achievement....

1. Ferrell: actor. Feral: wild.

Anchorman had its moments, but it didn't live up to the trailers. Much was improvised and left on the cutting room floor. Steve Carell was hilarious, though.

On edit: as with many SNL-alum films, it looked like a bunch of skits strung together. Still, I did laugh more than a few times.

Personally, I think Will Ferrell is one of the most naturally funny people on the planet--on par with Jonathan Winters and Robin Williams.

and as I know almost nothing about Ferrell, I went along with it. Now I will know to avoid anything with him so it was a somewhat useful experience.

someone here compared Ferrel with Robin Williams... o my.
Robin is a pure Genious on his feet (his stand-up is awesome; although his acting abilities, especially in semi-serious roles, turns me right off).
