Can you believe the number of people that are incarcerated in American jails for non-violent crimes, such as possession? Of course, like they say, if you smoke pot one day, you're sure to be on heroion the following week, right? Discuss amongst yourselves.

any discussion on the war on drugs is futile. Because the war on drugs is a lot like Afganistan, lost, lost, lost.

2.1 million Americans incarcerated right now. Not all for drugs, but a hefty chunk of them most certainly are. I forget what the cost is to house them, something like 46 billion a year. And when they get out, what is there? Nothing. The only way to cut recidivism is to ensure that there's a job waiting upon release. OOPS, silly me. Even those who haven't been incarcerated can't find work. What am I thinking?

Oh well, we better just build some more jails because we're certainly going to need them.
