1. Dude, I like box turtles
I dunno what you're talking about at all. And if I want to marry my box turtle just to ruin your marriage, you can't do anything to stop me!

2. Looks that way...
But I have no problem with keeping it in the public eye... don't let the stupidity of the right be forgotten too quickly...

We must fight the "memory hole" of which Reagan spoke while in office (and became intimately familiar with in his final years...)

4. As long as my box turtle and I are consenting adults, why should anyone
care what we do in the privacy of our bedroom? Now if we are performing sex acts on each other in public and frightening United States Senators, I can understand your concern.

6. Only if you take the dominant position
If you let a tortoise penetrate you, then according to the ancient Romans you will lose your manhood.

10. Do box turtles get along with yaks?
If not, it may be hard for many of us Lounge Lizards to add a box turtle to the family... :-)

12. We have a box turtle.
Her name is Myrtle, and she is really cool. My husband found her as she was crossing a street. She was all beat up, but has since recovered. We giver her cantaloupe, carrots, cherries and snails.

She sometimes will walk up to my husband and raise her head like she wants to communicate with him. Cool turtle. At first our cats thought she was something to play with, but they got bored with her quickly, Now they just ignore her.

:hippie:

13. Box turtles came up in a non-political conversation yesterday!
A few of us were talking about pets (my bird, someone else's cat, etc.) and someone mentioned that she likes box turtles. It was all I could do to not burst out laughing! This happened during coffee hour after church, and I sensed that it wasn't the right time and place to explain the box turtle remark.
