"Commie national anthem?"
Can one of the "lefty liberal commies" here tell me just exactly what the hell is a "commie national anthem?"

I saw this at my favorite asshole far-right Live Journal:

My Fantasy...
To hijack the sound system at Kerry's next major rally so that it plays "I'm Just a Gigolo" on infinite loop......

ahhhhhh.

I'd like to hijack the video projection/TV moniters and show the various things he's voted against in the senate which was then turned around and said that Bush did said things.

Either that or play the commie national anthem. Either way its win win.

1. Why is I'm just a gigolo his fantasy?
I could see how it would be a bad joke at a Clinton rally...but Kerry??? I don't get it.

5. The LJ is run by a Dittohead.
So since the Pillhead keeps calling Kerry a "gigolo," Ralph keeps parroting the Pillhead.

6. I still don't see how that is funny
or even makes sense.

I guess you just have to pick your battles with dittoheads.

7. I LOVED Teresa's response about her money on 60 Minutes...
Loose quote: "Isn't it interesting that they had no problems when it was Republican money (when she was married to Sen. Heinz) but all of a sudden it is dirty because it is Democratic now"

4. One commie national anthem, comin' right up.
Arise ye workers from your slumbers
Arise ye prisoners of want
For reason in revolt now thunders
And at last ends the age of cant.
Away with all your superstitions
Servile masses arise, arise
We'll change henceforth the old tradition
And spurn the dust to win the prize.

So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.
So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.

8. L'Internationale, the original Soviet national anthem
Quick Google: http://www.securitate.org/l'internationale.htm

Listen to it here: http://www.skazka.no/anthems/internationale-collection.html

Of course, there's always the official Soviet National Anthem (today the Russian national anthem). It was adopted in 1944 when nationalism won out over working class liberational desires and the Soviets realized that L'Internationale was actually a French song. The newer anthem is a bit more moving and is probably better associated with communism, but isn't neccesarily a communist promotional song: http://www.funet.fi/pub/culture/russian/lyrics/political/SovietUnionNationalAnthem_RedArmyChorus.mp3

10. Glad to know the Russians retained it.
I always liked the melody. It's one of the most beautiful national anthems.

9. That's as funny as "Latin-speaking countries"
I heard that once transcribing a dictation tape years ago, in reference to Latin America. Too funny.
