Poll question: Favorite Hanna-Barbera cartoon
Pre-Flintstones and Jetsons, so naturally that means pre-Scooby-Doo.

1. Never really like any of the Hanna-Barbera cartoons
The limited animation style bugs me.

5. Never liked Hanna-Barbera
Thought they were cheap and stupid. Give me Rocky and Bullwinkle, Looney Tunes and Beanie and Cecil for your classics. But, animation is having a golden age right now......

6. "Jonny Quest"
With very cool theme music, adventure...AND the wonderfully "ambiguous" relationship between Race Bannon and Dr. Quest, Jonny's father. :-)

Poor gargoyle guy sitting up on the castle. Then the foolish trigger-happy henchmen brought the ice down on themselves in the fjord.
Ha! great show.

13. Duh, now I read the "rules" -- no Flintstones
Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 02:05 PM by JCCyC
Anyway, all Hanna-Barbera toons before The Flintstones sucked rocks. The Flintstones at least had kickass stories to make up for the crappy animation.

17. Guys who whored themselves bigtime
Tom and Jerry are their legacy.

I can't even sit still for their cartoons, and I resent Cartoon Network for presenting HB shows as quality or camp or whatever--just give me the real deal from the forties and fifties instead.

That said, I voted--of course--for Yogi--another big guy with a li'l buddy and a "friendship" that'd give Leslie Fiedler pause. (Come back to the cave agin, Boo Boo honey.")

none of them. I don't know half of the cartoons listed in the poll. And I don't remember watching the other half.

Snooper and Blabber??

Ruff and Reddy??
