Men Charged In Burger King "Potty Rage" Incident

STRATFORD, Conn. -- Police have charged two men in a confrontation that could be described as potty rage.

The situation developed Friday night when a 52-year-old Stratford man took too much time in a bathroom at Burger King, police said.

Andres A. Diaz, who was in the john, and Joseph Manuel Augusto, 37, who was waiting to use it, got into an argument when Diaz emerged, police said.

Heated words escalated into a physical fight.

The two men allegedly bumped chests, then chased each other around the restaurant with their weapons. Augusto had a small razor pocket knife and Diaz brandished a Burger King straw dispenser, police said.

No one was injured.

2. Ah, the excitement of fast food joints.

My SO & I stopped by an Eat and Park last night after our spinning class - it was around 9 p.m., and this couple had a two year old little girl with the most piercing, grating shreik you have ever heard in your life. She alternated the screaming with banging the wall with her spoon. The parents apparently were able to totally tune out this noise. I didn't blame the kid - it was way too late for her to be having her dinner or even to be up. Note to parents: kids have an internal clock when it comes to eating. You should feed them around 5 p.m. and if you make them wait too long past that time, they have lost their appetite, but are extremely cranky.

4. My friend told a story

...of accidentally spraying someone with ketchup in a burger joint. In making a point in a heated discussion, she brought her fist down on the table, hitting a ketchup packet, which burst and sprayed a very big, very mean looking person. This person did not know she's been sprayed yet, and my friend and her companions left quite hastily.

table out of the floor - or better yet - vaulted the counter and armed himself with a milkshake machine. A straw dispensor? Feh!
