Ken Jennings is still on a roll.
He has just run all the way through two categories and got the daily double to total $9200 going in to the commercial break. And neither of the other contestants have even rung in yet for the first time.

1. Thanks for the update. Even though
it doesn't come on here until 7:30 (15 min from now) I like it when someone spills the beans. I tease my daughter about telling her how he does. Frankly, this guy is so amazing that any mystery about his winning as gone out the window for me.

I can't imagine anyone beating him. Apparently, he can take it all the way through to "the end of the season". That's when the tournament of champions starts. Gee, do you think he'll do well at that?

2. He is quite good
On a celebrity anagram category he was just on fire--it takes a special kind of mind to succeed at that and useless factual trivia like jazz-era literature.

3. I'd say he's a machine,
but he has a sense of humor.. He's obviously part of the human species.

4. From now on he should greet his opponents with an evil genius laugh
And he should be adorned in robes and attended by Jeopardy girls.

6. Good point about the sense of humor. Overall,
for a self-admitted nerd, I think his personality comes across great--on national tv no less! Any new update?

5. He buzzes in in an attosecond. Surely his competitors have noticed by now?
They need to buzz faster if they are to beat the walking cue card with fast reflexes (I wonder what his wife thinks of him...)

11. The problem is that if you buzz in too soon you get shut out
for a half second. They key is to buzz in at precisely the right time & that's not easy, especially when you're on the show for the first time.

7. Having been a contestant on the game I can tell you that it's
going to be tough to beat him. What people don't realize is that the ability to use the buzzer is as important as your general knowledge. (That's what sunk me). He's been on so long that he's comfortable on the set and he's got the buzzer use down to a fine art.

I'm sure in most cases the other contestants know most of the easier questions but he gets in first with the buzzer.

(last night I got the final Jeopardy answer and none of the contestants, including Ken got it - there's still hope for someone to ambush him somewhere along the line)

8. He's good on the buzzer, but
he also knows 99% of the questions. I'd guess that the best contestants on the show only know about 90% of the questions, which is still amazing IMO. He's kind of the "perfect storm" of Jeopardy.

9. jeopardy
please don't be disappointed - he'll beat himself next week (magic appearance = 38); there's bad blood between him and alex. I used to watch this program but stopped when this guy showed up - it's boring to hear the right answers from the same guy again and again and again.

10. Jeopardy is dead to me.
It's no longer fun to watch.
