SCI FI Channel Brings the Stars Out to 2004's Comic-Con International: San Diego
Wednesday July 21, 4:22 pm ET

SAN DIEGO, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- SCI FI Booth # 3829 -- SCI FI Channel will feature the stars of its three original series Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and the hotly anticipated Battlestar Galactica at this year's Comic-Con International held July 22-25 at the San Diego Convention Center. Additionally, characters from SCI FI's hit animated series Tripping the Rift will be on-hand for photo opportunities.
SCI FI's re-imagination of the much-loved series Battlestar Galactica blasted away the competition in December 2003 to become the most-watched cable miniseries of the year. Now in production as a weekly, one-hour series starring Edward James Olmos (Commander Adama), and is slated to premiere on SCI FI in early 2005.

* Tricia Helfer (Number Six), James Callis (Baltar), Grace Park (Boomer), and Aaron Douglas (CPO Tyrol) will be featured on a special Battlestar Galactica panel on Friday, July 23 from 12-1pm. The cast will also be available for autographs at the SCI FI booth from 2 p.m.- 3 p.m. on Friday, July 23.

The hottest franchise in sci-fi, Stargate lives on the SCI FI Channel. Recently, SG-1 premiered to record-setting ratings. Spin-off series Stargate Atlantis shattered those numbers with its debut.

* A blockbuster Stargate panel with cast and crew from both series will take place on Saturday, July 24 from 11a.m.-12:30p.m. and features Amanda Tapping (Lt. Col. Samantha Carter), Michael Shanks (Dr. Daniel Jackson), and Christopher Judge (Teal'c) from Stargate SG-1 and first-time appearances by Joe Flanigan (Maj. John Sheppard), Torri Higginson (Dr. Weir), Rainbow Sun Francks (Ford), David Hewlett (McKay), and Rachel Luttrel (Teyla) from Stargate Atlantis. At the SCI FI booth on Saturday, July 24, castmembers from Stargate SG-1 will be available for autographs from 2p.m.-3p.m., and the Stargate Atlantis cast will have their first-ever autograph signing from 3p.m.-4p.m.

Also on hand, castmembers from Jim Henson Company's Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, a miniseries airing October 17 & 18, 2004, exclusively on SCI FI.

* The Farscape panel will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 2-3:30p.m. featuring Ben Browder (John Crichton), Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun), Rockne S. O'Bannon (Creator), Brian Henson (Director & Exec. Producer), and David Kemper (Exec. Prod).
