Does anything shock you anymore? |
|
I know nothing shocks nothingshocksmeanymore, and Perry Farrell might allude that nothing's shocking...
But - does anything shock you anymore?

but the complete comfort in being blissfully ignorant and not having to take the responsibility for learning the facts instead of believing what is spoon fed by the mainstream media. That's what grinds me...

11. Lyrics to a song a "neighborhood garage band" was singing. |
|
I think their name was the "Obscene Perverts". They actually sounded good when they practiced and had a girl singer who rocked. But I have twin girls and a young boy (all single digits). When they started rehearsing "That's right, I'm fucking the dog. That's right I'm fucking the dog!!! Rowww rowwww rooooooooooo!!!".
I was shocked.
I had to turn on my own stereo and shut the windows of the house.
Their other songs included "Fuck, fuck, fuck" and "You're Fired!" (this was before Trump's show). The You're Fired song was the chorus for all the very explicit things this girl did at work to get fired, drugs, rampant sex, shooting people, etc.
Look for them on next season's American Idol.

18. I don't know if I'd define it as "shock" anymore.. |
|
It's more of a surreal feeling now..
I feel like Linda Hamilton's character in Terminator 2.. When she had her dream.. Standing outside the playground.. trying to warn everyone of the impending doom.. but no one can hear me.. There is no fate but what we make of it.. or so they say..
It is absolutely surreal...
Our scientific advances have far outgrown our emotional capability to handle them.. It's a miracle that humanity has lasted as long as it has thus far..
