The post received 6 replies. Two of which were from yours truly.

Later that same day, phillybri posts a thread asking for alternative names for porno movies.

Last time I checked, that thread had over 450 replies.

You people are sick.

For myself I only come to the lounge when I am tired of serious talk and need a little comic relief.
Perhaps not everyone needs it but many do and those people need a good chuckle now and then to keep their sanity.
I think it is good that DU has the Lounge for this purpose.

I was going to respond to the astronaut thread, but I didn't think anyone would give a shit that when I was younger my father got us a signed photo from Fred Hayes. He was at Lewis research center (Now Glenn research) in Cleveland and my father worked there for 35 years. After meeting 6 (If I remember) my story seemed boring...

As for the porn names, although a funny thread, my knowledge of movie titles is too limited to come up with something funny.

I worked 34 missions at JSC, worked with dozens and dozens of astros everyday....

And nobody gives a shit. You'd think at least my kids would think it was cool, but when we lived down there, all of their classmates parents were in the same boat as me. So to them, it's just routine stuff. Now it was so long ago, they don't remember.

Although Lewis was more of a research center, the space program was a big part of our lives. Unfortunately many people don't understand how important the space program is and it gets a bad rap. I told the Fred Hayes story to a 23 year old woman the other day and she just didn't get it. Oh well...
