I'm so proud...my 4 yr old has mastered a second language
I'm so happy to say that Ruby is now officially proficient in Engrish. :D

Some of today's gems include:

"Mommy, get the one sticks that are fun and you cut for the kids to play with."

"I want to see that car and that knocks me out."

"Don't leave the place and fall down that one that will make you shoot yourself."

I can't make this stuff up, folks. :D

"Anyway, I'm so thankful, and so gracious--I'm gracious that my brother Jeb is concerned about the hemisphere as well."

"People have heard the universal call to love a neighbor just like they'd like to be called themselves."

"I am determined to keep the process on the road to peace."

"One year ago today, the time for excuse-making has come to an end."

Plenty more where these came from.

4. I have a neurotic 3 year old.
Tonight, he picks a booger out of his nose and says, "Ewww. It's a booger. What do I do with it?"
His big brother says, "Just eat it!"
He tells his big brother, "That's disgusting. I'm throwing it in the garbage."
What kind of preschooler won't eat their own boogers? Now that's weird.

Kids!

5. How sweet!
"When I grow up I'm going to build a house and get a girl to come and live in it."

"This is too ugly for me to eat."

Funny days.

That Damn "Dora the Explorer" has my 3 year old all messed. I have no idea what she is saying sometimes. She is making up Spanish sounding words now.

7. My four year old is obsessed with Prince.
Last night, for an entire hour, she lay in bed singing 'Raspberry Beret, kind find second hand store, Raspberry Beret, it's warm, not wear much more'. Seriously.

Because that would be cool.

12. aw that's really cute
my son went through a phase of singing Ice Cream For Crow. I was very proud. Just wait though, until they start saying "whatever, and "this sucks" and asking you 1000 times for an X-box" Sigh. It's his dad's fault for letting him watch Futurama. :)

8. How cool
These are the times that I am a little envious of those with little ones. My 2 sisters had 3 each, so I got to have a little fun for a while.
My favorite was when the one was still in diapers and could barely talk. He was standing there sucking on his bottle and dropped it. He bent down to pick it up and it slipped from his hand again. He looked down at it and said "fuck it" and walked away. I was the only one in the room and burst out laughing. I then told my sister that her and her husband better watch what they say around him from now on. I still laugh about it though.

10. My 3yo
I have a lapel button from an IT training center that says, "Nerd and proud of it." She asks me to pin it on her shirt, ask what it says and then runs to momma shouting, "momma, I'm a nerd!"

I'm SO proud. :loveya:

9. My 7-yr old nephew spent the day at acting camp
When my sister picked him up he told her,
"Mom, I just want to be a simple man. I want to mow my own lawn"

Don't you just love the mind of a child?

15. First sentence
My 2 year old daughter, adopted 8 months ago from China, said her first sentence in English the other day. In response to my removing an empty bowl from her high chair tray that had contained Jello, my little darling said in her most emphatic voice "Bring it back."
