Do you take Gabitril?

Yesterday I had a freaky episode that lasted 4-5 hours. I saw my GP today, since my sister said the things I experienced were similar to things she's had happen -- things that her doc said were first indicators of stroke.

My new psychiatrist prescribed Gabitril for anxiety a few weeks ago. I was hoping like mad that this episode (feeling detached from my limbs, not knowing where I was, dizziness, etc.) was caused by the Gabitril. My GP seems to think so, and when I talked to the psychiatrist, he said to wean myself off of it.

Have you taken this drug for anxiety? Anything similar happen to you?

1. i take Gabitril

for tremor not for anxiety. been taking it for two+ years, so far no problems. was taking nurontin(sp), that caused extreme dizziness
and even a sudden case of vertigo. something i never had before and left as soon as i was switched to the Gabitril .
