Finally, the damn internet is fixed.

30 hours after this first started; 8 phone calls to tech support, no two of which gave me the same information; and one very helpful service technician later.

Apparently, I wasn't supposed to have Internet service OR digital cable in the first place with the amount of signal coming in to my house. They installed an amplifier and now it's smooth sailing.
