New employee makes outrageous demands of employer
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 04:20 PM by Padraig18
This critter here is Merlin, our 'bookstore cat':

I brought Tony some coffee and half-and-half this morning, and guess who decided that he likes half-and-half? Mmmmmm hmmmm, and none too subtly, either--- he reached up and tapped Tony on the arm as he was pouring some into his coffee. Needless to say, he got some, but now I'm wondering if this will become a new 'benny' to be added to his employee-benefit package?

:P

*Definitely* spoiled!
We can neither one do anytyhing when we first get to the store until we a.) pick him up, b.) rub him under his his chin for a few minutes and c.) throw his 'Bizee Ball' toy for him to chase several times; he won't leave us alone until we do that.

:)

Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 04:29 PM by VoteDemocratic2004
Ask Starbucks for the cream on the side that way Tony will get some for his coffee and the "Employee of the Month" will have his morning snack.

BTW He is gorgeous!

We're about 40 miles WNW of Terre Haute, IN and 40 miles south of Champaign/Urbana, IL.

13. Ask for some cream on the side for your "CEO"
No Starbucks in your area? Good!

I feel like they overcharge and cause mom and pop coffee shops to go out of business so I never buy from them unless I am desperate.

14. I agree
The coffee was $.81, including tax, at the diner next door; it was hot, fresh, tasted great and the half-and-half was free.

18. Agreed
The lady who runs it is a German immigrant (now naturalised), and her food is AWESOME! Everything made from scratch, including her bread and baked goods, and her place is sooooooooooooooooo clean that you could eat off of any flat surface in the place. The health department's sanitarian routinely gives her scores of 99-100, and has for years.

Today's lunch special was leberknodle soup, sauerbrauten, red cabbage and fried potatoes, all for $5.95; there was enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetite.

29. Yes, we do.
before we bought the Charleston store, we drove down and ate there about once or twice a week, on average. She also has 'fine dining' one Saturday evening a month where she cooks haute cuisine and nouvelle cuisine, and it's an incredible gastronomic treat.

Your making me hungry and I have a baked potato in the oven for my dinner tonight.
