Uh oh - another "House For Sale" post

We just listed ours last week - so for anyone out there looking for that "perfect" country home - here it is!

northern Virginia - 61 private acres - mountain view - year round stream
25 acres in pasture, remaining in old growth timber
4000 s.f. southern colonial home built in 2002
4 br, 3 1/2 b - no hot tub (sorry)
wired for both 110 and 220 (so you can play with big power tools!)
the occasional black bear, but mostly deer, ring tailed hawks, and fox
very peaceful - can't see any neighbors at all

Buy it so we can move back to New Hampshire!!!

2. If it were in Canada I would be interested.
There are a bunch of us who need land in Canada for our commune, just in case the worst happens in November. Where in NH are you moving. My dream is to live on 16A near Jackson. I was born in Concord. I am proud to say that Jimmy Carter slept in my birth home there!

3. We lived in Cheshire County (southern NH)

for a long time before we moved to VA. We'd like to find something there again, but it may be closer to Concord due to work.

If * wins, however, all bets are off. I doubt very much we would stay in the States.

Concord, BTW, still has a great chocolate shop where you can buy chocolate covered (frozen) Oreos. Yum!!!

6. Could be - I can't recall the name
It's a little tiny place - almost at the junction of Main St. and whatever street it's on!

The big bank building is close by, that I remember. I'll have to ask my NH friends what the name is - now I'm hungry!

10. Concord is a great "city"
I would move there in a minute. We moved out in 1967 and it hasn't changed much. I would love to raise my kids there. White Park is wonderful and we still have close friends in that town.

8. Well I'll be...

We lived in Dublin off 137 - used to go to Carr's Store all the time, and would always stop at Doody's on my way back from Keene!

15. There is a good internet site for NH real estate...
when you get to that point. It's NNEREN. It stands for Northerrn New England Real Estate Network. It has most, if not all, of the listings up here.

in my husband's line of work. Good luck though. :hi:

9. Thanks

Hopefuly he's still gainfully employed - I used to be a Systems Architect in RFID/wirelss - folks I know still in that field are making HALF of what they made 5 years ago, and are working 60+ hour weeks, on call 24/7, flying cross country at the drop of a hat.

Thanks, George.

13. This is pretty much what MrG is doing. He's been working 7 day
weeks since last November. We're stockpiling it basically. He's in the automotive industry doing prototype. Luckily I've got my appraiser's license, so we will persevere.

I spent more time at Ford in Dearborn than I care to remember - they lose/misplace an incredible amount of really big items out there... :)

and they were surprised how "inexpensive" it was.

(they didn't buy it, though)

23. When(not "If") Kerry wins, you guys should be positioned perfectly
A high quality, northern Virginia home should be at a premium for the incoming administration.
