I love my job
On Monday I return to my school to get set for another school year. I've enjoyed the summer break, though I have been busy with research, training, planning, and generally getting ready.

I'm excited. I get to teach again.

My own fifth grade teacher, Mr. Kaye, told me that one of the most important things in life was to make sure you have a job that you look forward to going to each morning. He was right. God bless you, Mr. Kaye, wherever you are.

1. I don't think I could handle teaching the same thing
over and over every year. But who knows.

2. I don't really teach the same thing each year...
..what I teach depends on each class and its needs. Even when I do teach the same thing, I improvise differently.

Good teaching is like jazz.

5. Yep!
I am giving a presentation on Wednesday and have to attend workshops Tuesday and Thursday. The following week I am working on curriculum and then after that it is preparing at school proper although I will be changing positions this year so my year is going to be topsy-turvey to say the least.

Good luck and make sure that NCLB is just a bad dream after Nov.!
