I dig my Rhapsody account (unlimited music streaming)...
... but is there something better available?

I like paying a steady monthly amount ($9.95) to listen to practically everything available at my computer, but I still have to pay $0.79 per download if I want to save a song, or take it with me.

For the most part, I listen to music while at the computer, so high-quality streaming is what I'm most interested in. Are there any other options out there for me?

2. Well, I listen to aol broadband
which offers streams of alot of different flavors, they even have a "rock the vote' selection now, or if someone famous dies they do a tribute (cash, Charles most recently). Holiday music too

But I really dig the MLB streams, any game, no extry charge

Mrsfishnfla pays the bills, so I dont know the cost. They do offer music downloads, which I am not into.

I know, its aol,( boo, hiss.) Havent had any problems in over 2 years now

3. Can I choose, song-by-song, what to stream, though?

That's what I love about Rhapsody... I'm not subject to a "radio" type stream.

Does RealOne's subscription offer anything like this? I'd like to pay less, and get more... ya know?

4. Not that I am aware of, Jen
but I'll tell ya, thats what I like about it, you are exposed to new stuff all the time, you hear something you like, get the artists' bio, discography.

For "genre-type" audiophiles like myself (alt-country, bluegrass or reggae) its a good way to expose yourself to new stuff.

I had satellite radio for free awhile, and found it to pale in comparison.

But ya know, different strokes for different folks. here's Steve Earle now,,,,,

6. I like Rhapsody too and listen to it all the time
But why is there no AC/DC on it, damn it?

Some of the licensing things are pretty weird. There's no Ozzy-era Sabbath either.:D

9. I have the Real One/Starz package and
love it. I can watch the Starz channel on my computer (I don't have cable TV and I love movies). I can download movies and keep them on my hard drive for a period of time. I can also watch them as often as possible. Even if I have the movie (LOTR, Pirates of the Carribean) I like having them on my hard drive because it uses less battery than using my DVD player.

10. OMG
Got rid of Starz! on cable recently, despite my love for their sweet movie mix. Please provide a link to the package you're describing!!
