I heard the announcers on ESPN saying he was supposed to go to Cape Canaveral, but ended up going to Fenway. I assumed it was a joke, but perhaps I'm wrong. Help, please!

He's given to Kerry, Gore, and the CA Dem Party.

I'd wager that Morgan leans Republican. I saw that he's a member of a pro-life baseball organization.

63. Thanks for pointing that out
I certainly did not wish to impugn the credibility of Mr. Morgan.

I did find it disturbing, however, how many members that organization has. I also remember reading that Jerry Colangelo, owner of the Arizona Diamondbacks, was a part of that Presidential Prayer team.

This is a man who, in the 1990s, won close to a million dollars in a settlement against the Los Angeles International Airport and its security force for racial profiling. He was stopped and detained because he "fit the description" of a drug dealer (i.e. a well-dressed black man).

64. I interviewed John McNamara in 1986
He sticks in my mind as the single biggest asshole I ever met in my years as a sportswriter. And I've met a few.
John
Best interview I ever had while covering baseball was former Giant/Tiger first baseman Darryl Evans. A really great guy.
Since we're discussing the Sox, Bill Buckner was a good guy, too. He chewed a combination of bubble gum and tobacco and when he leaned over to answer a question, his breath smelled like a warm spittoon. But he loved to talk baseball and sure had some insights into the game.

32. I would be shocked if there was no booing
First off any baseball fan knows that Yankee fans travel to Boston and Baltimore any time they play. If Kerry is throwing out the first pitch at a home Boston game, I am sure the Yankee fans would boo. second Kerry is winning Mass by 56-39. Isn't it logical that some of those 39% are at the game. It is the same thing that happened to Bush at the nascar race in Florida when he got booed. If Kerry got any booing which I didn't hear any of it is not unusual.

Wolf Blitzer tonight reported gleefully that Kerry was both booed and cheered at Fenway.

Shockingly enough, Boston native John King laughed it off, which seemed to take the wind out of Blitzer's sails. But look for this to be a big GOP talking point tomorrow.
