7. Its 1:15 AM and I just watched Larry King's convention
coverage. I am still debating going to Boston but I think I'll pass because I have a feeling that my plans are going to be too tentative. I was supposed to stay with someone I have never met, possibly three people I have never met,and they would most likely be male!My only method of communication would be a cell phone which no one will be able to hear. And no one seems certain where the hotel is or how much it will be! Oh, well, the thought was a good one!

8. I'm doing laundry and studying....
the damn cat, the dumb fucking cat, pissed on the bed and I'm washing the linens. Yes, Houston, we have a problem here. It's a long story but it is improving. I have waterproof mattress pads so the mattress doesn't get damaged.

So... the washer spins and I'm writing an assignment about ESL assessments. At least I'm accomplishing something.

Damn cat.

9. 4:26 a.m. in Connecticut, and I'm still up!
Of course, I didn't wake up until 5:00 Sunday afternoon. Since I became unemployed three weeks ago, I've also become a serious night owl! (And please, no Little River Band references. Thanks!)

I have two weeks to snap out of it.... school starts August 9th. It won't due to have me dragging in in worse shape than my students!

My god, the ed biz has changed since I graduated from high school in 1984. Back then, the school year *never* began before September 1st!

22. I owe, I owe,
It's off to work I go....

On Sundays I work my weekend job from 7am-10:30pm, then go right to my weekday job which is from 11pm Sunday-7am Monday. Then Monday-Thursday it's just the 11p-7a. Friday 3p-11p, Saturday 7a-11p. Sunday starts the whole shebang over again.

One day I'll have my bills paid off, then I'll save up for grad school, get my MLS and get a real job, but until then....

14. Me is awake
4:35 ET, just sitting around reading an article series in USNews on how Kerry won IA. Interesting, but I know I should be studying for one of three quizes/exams I have this week (isn't it great they're the same week as the convention).

Oh well, I'll have to find a way to balance them both. I'll probably end up watching only the major speeches...
