1. Did they only put out one record or what?
I loved that one on Capricorn, but after Capricorn folded, I couldn't get much news on them. Did they break up or get signed to a new label or what?

Still can only find one CD by them (I love "Swim").

3. That's the one.
Yeah, count them among the scads of great abnds who popped up outta nowhere, put out an album or two, and disappeared again....there were a lot of those in the 90's. Lotion, for one, comes to mind.

4. And my other favorite band that no one's ever heard of...

Bark Psychosis. I think they put out one album in 1994. BTW, what kind of music does Lotion play? I've never heard of them.

6. Husker Du-influenced Power Pop.....
but shot through with prog influences. For instance, many of their songs are in odd time signatures. Very skilled harmony singers, too.

Totally forgotten band, but awesome. Thomas Pynchon wrote the liner notes (!) to their 1996 masterpiece, "Nobody's Cool."

Other 90's bands who'll become cult heroes in a few years:
Chainsaw Kittens
Shudder to Think
Five-Eight
The Grifters
