I'm predictably nervous, but any shot at a job as a sportscaster is to go to avoid...

Anyone here done any work in front of the camera?

1. Good luck
I have to give you credit, because I hate cameras. I choke when doing things in front of them.

2. Make sure....
you have a pretty face and do not know much about sports like the other ESPN sportscasters!

3. Be outgoing but not obnoxious
You want to be memorable, but in a good way.

When you introduce yourself, don't be afraid to tell them some funky tidbit about your life (as long as it's not too personal).

5. Consider yourself eliminated if you use the word, "Ramalamahamdam."
I'm not a professional sportsanchor, and I don't even play one on TV. But if you want my advice, I'd say the most important thing to remember is that "less is more."

Dry wit and intelligent humor are what makes the best ESPN SportsCenter anchors. Hyperactive spazzes, like some of the contestants I saw briefly in the first season, don't have a future. Accordingly, I'd say you should use exclamations sparingly- you're supposed to be an anchor, not a WWE announcer.

Good luck! Go for it!
