Clearing out my saved msgs, I found this quote from last year: |
|
I wrote this last year sometime in response to some thread:
"Only the fanatical right could take the witness of a compassionate, peaceful, merciful, love espousing poor Jewish carpenter from two thousand years ago and transform him into a gun-toting, doctor-killing, gay-bashing, hate-mongering, bigoted busybody asshole for modern America. The irony lies in the fact of their outward pointed finger and frothing proclamation that everyone else has betrayed the heart of the gospel."
I thought, "damn - did I write that?" :)
Wouldn't it be cool of someone said something like that at the Democratic convention about the radical right?
Well, I suppose it really wouldn't be good to alienate the middle, but it would *feel* very good.

Christian is as Christian does. Some seem to follow "WWJND": "What Would Jesus NotDo?"
