Movies that would have been completely different with cell phones?
First up "Silence of the Lambs"-If Scott Glenn (Agent Jack Crawford) could have caled agent Starling he could have told her that she WAS in the lair of Buffalo Bill. Of course that would have killed the whole ending.

Any else?

10. I'm not sure there would have been any reception
in either Castaway, Blair Witch, or Lord of the Flies (if you've seen 6 Days, 7 Nights, whatever it's called ... the one where Harrison Ford and Anne Heche are in a plane crash on a deserted island, she actually tries her cell phone but there aren't too many cell towers on uninhabited islands in the middle of the ocean)

13. The Blockhouse
The true story of some French POWs who get trapped by Allied bombing in a German officers' bomb shelter. Peter Sellers was in it. The movie takes place in almost complete darkness after they run out of candles. Anyway, they're trapped down there for six or seven years until some workmen stumble into the place by accident. Amazing story which might have been different had cell phones been around. Or, if the cell phones didn't work, just that much more frustrating.

They could have just phoned in the cancellation of the attack, rather than sending Mel Gibson as a runner who was too slow.
