1. I swear, if the GOP had its way, we'd be headed back to the '50s.
The 1850's.

6. Pre Civil-War?
Before all those pesky issues of voting rights and state's rights and emancipation, eh? --- It's a GOP wet dream.

4. I think Theresa is going to make Hillary
look like June Cleaver in comparison. On the flip side, the Pukes are going to have a field day with her in the next 8 years (now that's some positive thinking, huh?).

5. Why they inisist on women being June Cleaver is beyond me.
It's asinine and rather alarming that they continue to demand that all women stay home and bake brownies or something.

16. I'm disturbed by this June Cleaver slander!!!
:D

But no, really guys, June Cleaver ROCKS!

If you watch the show, she is really a strong woman. She and Ward really have a good relationship and she tells him what's what when he's wrong!

In all my years of watching the show, I've never seen an instance when HE told HER she was wrong!
:D

9. That Was My Favorite One! Second favorite is...
... the "arrange his pillow" and "take his shoes" suggestion.

Now THAT's class, eh? What better way to show your appreciation?

8. It's going to be interesting to see how she interacts with kids
I have a strong feeling that First Lady Pickles sees kids as little flowers in the precious garden of her beautiful mind. Showing up to read them a story (and dragging along "The Tongue" for a photo op) is, to me, a real load of horse shit.

Most kids may not have an adult level of "book knowledge," but they are SMART, they are ASTUTE, and it is NOT necessary to talk down to them.

I can see Teresa talking TO kids, not "AT" them, about their futures. You know, at an appropriate level, relating to their education, families, peer pressure, etc. I can see a REAL "First Lady" making a difference, instead of Jack Nicholson wondering how Batman got all of those wonderful toys.

Also, I don't think John will hold her neck like this:

10. That's A CREEPY Photo!!!
What is she? A DOLL? A mannequin? A bit of property? Does he still think women are chattel to do as they are told and to pose on command as he desires?
