Bush is either a Liar or Incompetent...am I missing something?
The way I see it, one of two things happened...

1. Bush flat out lied to us concerning the rational for US military involvement in Iraq.

2. Bush didn't lie... he was just plain wrong. To me, the is almost as bad as no. one because it advertises one of the largest intelligence failures in modern history and makes Bush directly culpable for two of the three largest U.S. intelligencer failures in the 20th century (The Twin Towers and Pearl Harbor being the other two).

Either way I look at it, it's bad stuff. Either he's a liar or simply incompetent lead a major nation in this day and age.

All in all, I'm a pretty moderate and level-headed guy and I attempt to deny myself bias when talking politics (as tough as that is to do... and believe me, I fail at it more often than not). I've tarried to look at this from as many different angles as possible, but it keeps leading me back to my two conclusions.

Please tell me, have I missed other possibilities (other than LIHOP and MIHOP, as I'm still sifting through reams of undigested information about that and cannot even give an opinion yet let alone make a judgment re: LIHOP and MIHOP).

Is there another possibility other than Bush being either a Liar or Incompetent re: Iraq

2. They are not mutually exclusive.
And in Bush's case, highly likely.

4. I agree
Being that he is a liar is a given at this point. What's to be determined is if he is incompetent. And it may be a good thing he is incompetent, because otherwise we would be bombing Iran already.

3. You haven't missed a thing
Let me add that even if you know someone who thinks the Iraq war was totally justified, ask him if he feels that the war was executed successfully in that the country is peaceful and stable now.

And grossly unqualified to be President. I like how the 'pubs have changed the definition of lying. A lie is a LIE, and if you're the President of the United States, you damn well better make sure you're not sending your country to war based on a lie, because if you do, it's YOUR ass that needs to be removed from office. That's just a small part of the huge responsibility of the job you stole, Bucko.

There's no qualifiers like, 'Well, if he didn't know it was a lie, it's really not a lie.' Nu-UH! A lie is a LIE when it's not the truth, period. BUSH LIED. HE FUCKING LIED!

after reading a transcript of a conversation between Michael Moore and Bill O'Reilly. Bill claimed that the 9/11 commission report proved that Bush hadn't lied, but had been "misled" by misinformation and bad intelligence. And that means he should remain in office because...?

BUSH/CHENEY '04: GULLIBLE, BUT HONEST!
