Apparently, they did not have the balls to mess with our Vets for Kerry sign.

1. I'm putting up new Kerry signs this weekend

I'm going to try and get the big ones. Some asshole around here likes to run over them. when I put them up this time, I'm going to sandwich a couple of old cylinder heads of a chevy V8 between where they can't see them. If they run over them then, it's going to fuck their car up but good, probably take out the oil pan.

21. I know you're joking, but that's illegal in most areas
You can't put anything on a fire hydrant that disguises the fact that it's a fire hydrant...for obvious reasons.

3. Coat them with oil or honey
or better yet, rub poison ivy or poison oak leaves all over them.

That'll teach the bastards.

4. It's getting nast y out there-- A DU'er was proud of the fact that ---
he harassed an older couple with a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker and this was on I-95,a very dangerous thing to do.

There are idiots on both sides of the camp.

8. Someone stole
the Kerry bumper sticker off my car while it was parked in my driveway the other night. Sadly, this seems to be the level that political discourse has sunk to in our country.

Speaking of which, I was thinking about all of the accomplishments in Clinton's recent biography the other day and wondering what in the world will go into *'s official bio?

substance abuser?
poor student?
failed business man?
demagogue?
the list goes on and on...

17. Our Kerry signs are in the front windows of our house
but then I live in Tx. No need asking for trouble. I already ride around with Kerry and Dem stickers on my van.

18. That's precisely the behavior I expect from Bush supporters.
The party that bashes foreign language study, rejoices in executions, and wants to get rid of funding for community policing is also the party of bad manners and force. I keep thinking of a line in the poem "Erlkoenig."

"Und bist du nicht willig, so brauch' ich Gewalt."

"And if you're not willing, I'm going to use force."

Yes, I know; it's the mind-set of a rapist. It's real Schwarzenegger/Bush self-serving, force-using, dissent-forbidding evil.

Anyway, put up the signs in the windows. Then keep your video camera ready for the louts who may wander by...

I'd go out and destroy three of Shit-for-Brains' signs. I know some DUers might not approve but I would surely feel that I was given free license.

22. My dad had a similar problem once with Dukakis signs
He lives on a corner and has a huge lawn, and some prick kept cutting across his yard and running over his Dukakis sign. So my dad started watering his lawn. And watering. And watering. And watering. He watered his lawn twice a day for eight days straight before replacing the sign for the fourth time. Later that night he heard some noise outside his window and went out to investigate.

The idiot (turned out to be a kid that lived three houses down) had driven over the curb again to mow down the sign...and his Malibu promptly sank to the floorpan in the mud. He'd tried to have some friends pull it out before he was caught, but my dad quickly called the police and had the kid arrested.

Another great trick, assuming people are driving across your lawn AND you don't have kids around, is to drop a simple metal rake in your yard, tines up. You'd be amazed at the damage a rake can do to a tire :)

25. Had a McGovern sticker on my motorcycle in '72
in Cincinnati. What a coincidence. I was cut off more often than usual. It's a shame people think it necessary to play with others lives just because they think you are voting for the wrong person.
