Today I Learned That THREE Republicans I Know Are Voting for Kerry |
|
Yes!!! And they weren't even embarrassed admitting that to me, after three years of defending the murdering bastard they voted for.
Went to a company barbecue this afternoon and only ONE person was still staunchly defending Bush. I completely ignored him and went to my car to put my Kerry buttons on. SWEEEEEEET!

2. It's the first time in my life that I've seen such dissatisfaction... |

from the right for their chosen leader. Not even Nixon generated this amount of distrust.

3. I registered two young women at work today. |
|
Neither had ever voted. They actually were the ones who started talking politics. ("What's that election thing going on in Boston" - hahaha!)
Anyhow, one of them mentioned that her husband had been out of the USAF for about 3 years, after 5 years of active duty. She suddenly got veeeery interested in what I had to say about vets being pulled off the inactive reserve list as of late.
:)
The other is 19 years old, and just wanted to know how to go about registering so she could vote for Kerry.
Not a bad haul, considering I wasn't even trying.

4. Cool.... I just had a clerk at a convenience store... |
|
ask me "Who is John Kerry" after reading my button. I was like "Are you voting this year?" And he said that he never votes because it doesn't affect him. I said that it DOES affect him when he pays higher prices for necessities, and when his pay never increases to match the economy, and on and on... I even offered to bring him a voter registration form tomorrow. He wasn't interested. Ugh.

6. Haha! I had a gas station experience similar to that. |
|
The attendant (cute girl, about 20-21) said to her coworker "Who is running against Bush?" I chimed in "That would be John Kerry." She looked back at her friend and said "That's who I'm voting for".
It was cute but sad that more people don't really know ANYTHING about what's going on. At least she knew what she didn't like. That's a start.
