have you heard of toddy coffee? It's a cold brewed coffee, rather European. Gets rid of a lot of the acids.

But the manufacturer isn't important, it's how clean you keep the maker, making sure the brew is transferred to a thermal carafe immediatealy - letting it stay on the hotplate causes flavor loss and evaporation, AND the bitterness.

to let it brew overnight. No better way in the world to make iced coffee, imo. Excellent!

you should give the Toddy (so....British?) a try. It's just a little different. Keep your current coffemaker, but try it. It won't kill you.

22. It's really simple..

I think I bought it at World Mkt. You put the cork in the bottom of the holder, put the filter in the inside, put your ground coffee in and pour in 4 cups of cold water. Wait five minutes, pour another 4 cups of cold water in, & let it set for about 12 hours. Then, you take the cork out over the canister, & let it filter through. I know, I had my own grinder-brewer coffeemaker, but this is really different. You really get rid of the acids in the coffee, and it tastes great. It's concentrated, so it's 1 part coffee to three parts boiling water.

But iced coffee should be as mild as possible in my humble opinion and cold filtration makes it that way...

I'll still be passing my mug for good old hot steaming ZombyWoof coffee when my iced coffee fad ends, though LOL!
