Anytime there is a big event, many new people show up at DU. While some were disruptors this week, the vast majority were some awfully cool people just finding out about us, or longtime lurkers coming out of the woodworks to participate. Whenever we have a new influx of people, I am heartened by the nubers swelling in our ranks that KNOW WE MUCT work together to pull back from the hard right turn this country has taken...so drop on in....

2. I'm new

I would have been here earlier - I just found a link to this site on another site. I am now spending about half my day here!

I'm from Vermont originally (live in CA now) and have always been very political - I love rural Vermont and the Town Meeting form of government. I was thrilled when Howard Dean joined the race and I was an avid supporter of his candidacy. (Big kudos to Jim Jeffords as well) I am firmly behind Kerry because I think he's a good man and can begin to bring this country back to where it needs to go.

I hope this posts - I've been having trouble all morning, posting and finding that they don't show up. Very strange.

This am, just outside Winnipeg, I passed a car with Nebraska plates. He had a bumper sticker that read Anybody But Bush. I honked the horn and gave him the thumbs up sign. As the smiling driver passed me he was honking and waving madly.....

Hello! I am Jana from Austin, Texas. I have been lurking for close to a year, I finally registered just a few weeks ago.

I am a leftie that supports John Kerry. I enjoy this site because I feel like the people here are so much more considerate and intellegent.
