Boys Busted For Smoking Pot In Grandma's House

Police say three youths decided it would be fun to go into grandma's house and smoke pot.

Not a good idea.

The boys, ages 12, 14 and 15, were charged with third-degree home invasion last week after being arrested by Wayne police shortly after 7 p.m. on July 19.

They were at the home of the 15-year-old's grandmother.

According to police reports filed in Wayne County Family Court, the two younger boys helped boost the 15-year-old through the front window of his grandmother's house in the 4900 block of Hayes.

The grandmother wasn't home and, the boys later said, they went inside the home to smoke marijuana, according to police.

But the grandmother's neighbor spotted the boys entering the home and called the grandmother at work to ask if anyone should be in the home, a report said. The grandmother said no, and the neighbor called police.

The neighbor then let herself into the home with a key she previously had been given by the grandmother and caught the boys inside.

The neighbor had the boys wait on the front porch for police officers to arrive.

They did not try to run away.

6. This reminds me of a story

Once when I was a teen (many moons ago) I had to go to church. You know, when you go to church and grab a bulletin and split? Well, I met a buddy there who had a bit of weed, so we went to the parking lot and checked doors until we found an unlocked one. We did what we set out to do and left. As we were walking back the cops came and grabbed us and put us in the squad car. They took us to the station and were asking us questions when another cop came in the room and said to let us go. Here, they were called because some little kid was letting the air out of his father's tires and the priest saw him. So the cops took us back and dropped us off in front of the church. As we got out of the squad car my buddy's sister happened to be driving by and pulled over. She didn't ask us what happened, she just dropped me off at home.
I still wonder what the people thought when they got in their car after mass.
Oh well, guess you had to be there..it was funny at the time.
