So the King of Tonga was in SLC today...... |

He was here for the opening of a Tongan Church. I thought it was pretty cool, those Tongans are pretty fun people. One of my neighbor's was Tongan, nicest guy ever...well until we found out he was wanted for murder.
I remember when my dad was beat up badly by some thugs trying to rob him...my Tongan neighbor wanted to go out and find the guys that beat him up.
Tongans ROCK!
Right?

I've met some awesome people as well--and they definitely know how to party!
I think it's almost cruel that the Mormon church is responsible for getting so many Tongans to leave their beautiful island for this place, although this whitebread city is all the better for it. I know many of them are disappointed when they get here after realizing SLC is far from some kind of Mormon Utopia.
