Specifically, the movement titled the March to the Scaffold, where the artist believes that he has murdered his beloved, and note the refererence to the 'Dies Ire' being first introduced by bells, then burlesqued by brass... the head rolling into the basket is represented by a pizz cello arpeggio. 'bump, bump, bump' then a final fanfare as the head is displayed to the crowd.
