1. Maybe because in Democratic strongholds,
the jobs are better and the live-ability is more desireable:shrug:

2. That ain't so...
in my neighborhood--Morris County, New Jersey. Crawling with superwealthy and corporate managment Republicans and the real estate prices are among the highest in the nation.

3. In my area that isn't the case
In my area the suburbs are red and the inner city is blue. The suburbs are way more pricey than the city. A comparable house can cost $30,000 less in the city.

5. Lower cost of living
Most of the blue states are in major cities and metropolitan areas. The red states are more rural. And thus real estate is going to be cheaper there.

6. Yep.
Bottom line, it's cheaper to live in rural areas.

7. And in areas with high job losses
In some of those dying rust belt cities, you can get houses for peanuts. Of course, there are no jobs and very few businesses or other attractions...

8. The simple answer
is more land and fewer people. Have more of a product and less demand and you get a cheaper product.

10. Yep. And it helps promote the ME ME mentality of the GOP
what society? It's just me and several thousand sq. miles of nothing.

9. What's the difference between a pile of sand
and an urban lot with utilities?
