...I am the only member of my team required to be in today. I understand teh necessity, and accept taht someone had to do it, but still...there is a small resentful part of me that asks why the "lowest paid" MF in this crew had to be the one.
I know that when I was in the Army when my soldiers had to work late (on holidays, et al) the LT was right there beside them.

In many businesses that need someone to work on holidays or weekends (if they aren't getting some extra overtime deal), the person with lowest seniority has to work everytime. It seems a bit unfair but that's how many businesses operate.

It`s also a day for the old timers (who never work overtime) to suddenly decide they need to work a little OT.
I can`t comment on whether the triple time pay has any bearing on there decision.
