Beginning sometime close to Thanksgiving of THIS YEAR... Berkeley Breathed is creating a Sunday-only strip called OPUS.

Maybe even a movie.

which morphed back into something very similar to Bloom County!

8. Probably for the same reason...
...that Garrison Keillor shut down "Prairie Home Companion" in 1987, emerging a year later with "American Radio Company of the Air," which gradually turned back into PHC (music shifting from jazz to traditional folk, restoring the weekly Lake Wobegon news, moving the location from NYC back to Minnesota) until it got to the point that it made no sense to use the new name anymore, and it became "Prairie Home Companion" again.

7. I hate to disappoint everyone...
...but this sounds like a hoax. I mean "Bill said that Berkeley is directing then writing the film, because he cannot do things the normal way" and "when I asked Bill how Berkeley was planning on bringing OPUS to the screen, he said that the savant Berkeley was thinking of standing on a stage with a single spotlight on him, reading the story as he does for his kids," it becomes pretty hard to take this seriously. Sorry.
