The Hurricane is passing 150 miles to the South of Hilo. Oahu has a good chance of being spared, the Insurance guys are making a huge BBQ.

I've been watching the most recent Hurricanes (Fabian?) on the news and always feel a sense of relief when they move out to sea without reaching landfall. I am not near enough to the ocean to worry about hurricanes, but have to worry about blizzards in the winter and we've had a tornado or two in recent weeks. I know that they were evacuating coastal areas in anticipation of Fabian (believe this was the Gulf Coast) and can imagine how scary this can be!
