The Orwellian overtones continue in today's Bush photos

Reuters put a nice caption on the photo below: "One-third of President Bush (news - web sites)'s tax cuts have gone to the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans, shifting more burden to middle-income taxpayers, congressional analysts said on August 13, 2004. The report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (news - web sites) and calculations by congressional Democrats based on the CBO findings fueled the debate over the cuts between Bush and his Democratic challenger in November, Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites). President Bush, first lady Laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) and his wife Lynne are shown at the Republican National Committee (news - web sites) Presidential Gala fundraiser, May 22, 2001. 2. Don't forget, the corporate elite are killing the middle class. What does
Edited on Fri Aug-13-04 08:58 PM by HypnoToad
this mean?

Our country collapses when the time is right and THEY make a neat and tidy takeover because they, unlike the government, have the cash to buy them out totally. Talk about the ultimate in hostile corporate takeovers, are you scared YET?

Our corporations mistreat and exploit workers, to say the very least.

Who are the traitors again? Isn't taking over the country to impose their way of life onto everyone else a treasonable offense anymore? Freedom means freedom. It doesn't mean the horrible things that just went through my mind about poverty, greed, exploitation, and murder.

Oh, the * with orange plane only reminds me of LIHOP and possibly MIHOP.

4. the cave wall - the shadows - the puppet handlers ---> the matrix
will * make an appearance in NYC, or will he be 'beamed in'?

Plato likens people untutored in the Theory of Forms to prisoners chained in a cave, unable to turn their heads. All they can see is the wall of the cave. Behind them burns a fire. Between the fire and the prisoners there is a parapet, along which puppeteers can walk. The puppeteers, who are behind the prisoners, hold up puppets that cast shadows on the wall of the cave. The prisoners are unable to see these puppets, the real objects, that pass behind them. What the prisoners see and hear are shadows and echoes cast by objects that they do not see.Such prisoners would mistake appearance for reality. They would think the things they see on the wall (the shadows) were real; they would know nothing of the real causes of the shadows. more --> http://faculty.washington.edu/smcohen/320/cave.htm
