Are you the one who stole my parking place? |
|
Yesterday, I went shopping, and stopped by the olive garden to eat lunch. Well, a lady and I were both waiting for a parking place at the same time. I had the right of way, so I took it. She honked, and I just got my stuff and headed inside. I put my name on the list, and was waiting in the bar, reading a Rolling Stone. The woman came over, and asked, "Were you the one who stole my parking place?" I said no. "What kind of car do you drive?" I lied. So she walked away. When they were being seated, she walked over and said, "I'll be waiting for you when you get done eating. I'm gonna whoop your ass." Needless to say, I left. It scared the CRAP out of me. I shook the entire time until I got back here to Skip's. And how was your friday afternoon? Oh, and did you miss me? Duckie

1. Here's what happened to me 12 years ago - still pissed. |
|
I try to pull into a parking slot and some asshole pulls in from the other side driving over an open slot to take the one on my side making me have to go around to the other side to take the slot he pulled over.
I just let it go at the time. But I'm still pissed.

11. I've had that trick pulled on me several times - |
|
but I don't stay pissed that long. I usually get over it in about 10 years.

FUDGE??
First of all, I would have told her what my actual car looked like.
Then I would have stood up and said, "Let me explain to you what taking a parking spot actually looks like. It's when the person who DOESN'T have the right of way whips in front of a person who does. Out there? Just now? **I** had the right of way, lady, not you. So no one took ANYONE'S parking spot, and if you want to make a federal case out of it, we'll get the restaurant management AND the police out here to explain it to you AGAIN. Capish?"
I get so mad when I hear stories like this. You left? Without eating?
That's why bullies like that think they can do that. Because it works.
I mean no offense, I feel angry FOR you. Years ago, I would have done the same thing you did, but now? Shit, life's too short for bullies.

Had I had a cell phone, I'd have called the Manager at OG, and told him what happened, described her and asked him to do something about it. But I didn't, so we're letting it go. It happens again, I promise I will stand up for myself. Duckie

|
to take her best shot. If I were YOU, I would have called the police, and filed a report of the threat.

that's how people get killed. But I would agree with Moonbeam's assessment on bullies. I typically don't advocate violence, but a bully will change their attitude real quick when they see copious amounts of blood leaking from their nasal passage.

most of the time nasty, rude people like that back down when they see you are standing up for yourself and aren't going to take their crap. Most of the time, no touching them is even necessary.
I used to be a total pushover but I got tired of it. Now my radar is up for bullying and I do NOT tolerate it. Anywhere, anytime.
