Poll question: Favorite Supremes song
This a hard one to list only 9 and the "other" choice. Everyone knows I'm a Supremes nut, with or without "Miss Ross".

sing "Can't Hurry Love" in "Jumpin Jack Flash". A very brief gag that I still enjoy watching.

5. What's Ironic About That Song......
...is that DIana Ross recorded her vocals in a studio in Los Angeles and the Supremes recordeeeed theirs in a studio in Detroit.

They weren't even together to record their swan song..........

6. More irony
The Supremes are not even on that record. Mary and Cindy were not singing backup, Motown used The Andantes (who were session musicans for numerous artists). The song was orginally set to be Diana's first solo record but at the last minute it was changed to be the final single for the Ross-led Supremes.

Love Child was also recorded without Mary and Cindy. At this point Mr. Gordy was hell bent on making Ross THE star and basically gave Mary and Cindy the shaft. Not that I'm pissed or anything. :silly:

7. None of the above
Never liked the Supremes.

I always felt they were taking valuable AM radio air time away from the Beatles and the Stones.

12. I agree!
In fact I'm going to see her in Laughlin, NV and get to hang out with her. She's not only one sexy lady, but a hell of a nice person too.

20. I'll be proud to!

Mary is so wonderful. I'm so lucky to be able to meet one of my idols. During the whole fiasco of Diana's failed tour without Mary and Cindy, Mary has been very vocal to the fans that supported her.

It's too bad for Lynda and Scherrie that they had to suffer from some of the backlash. All the women that were in the Supremes are great performers and I've met almost all of them.

My one regret is that I never saw Florence Ballard perform. I did however get to see her when Mary, Scherrie and Cindy performed in 1974. What a tragic loss when Flo died.

Perfect for an introvert like me too.

24. My choice, too...
...the only reason I started watching China Beach (remember that series?) was because they used it over the opening credit sequence.
