2. hehe, I was a history major until I graduated 2 years ago
and I've had 7 jobs since then, none of them dealing with my major (although my current one is great, look what I'm doin now;), and I graduated Magna Cum Laude and with good recommendations, so here goes:
How do you feel about your job prospects when you graduate, and are you considering continuing your education? Just curious:)

11. more current events
often it takes years to really know. After bush leaves the White House, records are opened..etc we will be able to make better judgements. Right now, bush doesn't look to good.
Also, Iraq's recovery is a big part on how it will look in the future. if Iraq becomes a succsessful democracy and leads change in the region then it may look very good from a historical perspective.

But that is current events and 21st Century affairs.

10. I believe
that roosevelt did not expect a fleet attack on pearl harbor. I think the navy honestly believed that japan's fleet was going to attack south towards malaya and the Phillipines.

14. I was a history major too
and chose sales as a career path, after briefly flirting with teaching and law.

I loved German history from between the wars-Weimar Republic and the rise of Hitler.

16. Germany 1914-1945
is one of the greatest subjects ever. So is the Soviet union from 1917-1956. Japan in the 1930s and 1940s is very interesting too.

17. Irish history...
Do you think that Eamon de Valera ordered the assassination of Michael Collins? Nearly all the Irish people I know believe this utterly, although historians generally don't agree.

24. I was a history major too
but a long time ago. Also an exchange student in AUstria.

I taught nine yars and then became a stockbroker (13 years now).

My question, and it is purely an opinion question, but why did the Confederate States of America lose the Civil War, and lose its independance?

Your grade will be based on using thought and not slogans.
