Poll question: New Government issue postage stamp - yay or nay?
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 10:02 PM by HypnoToad

It's very pretty and well done, but is it saying Jesus allowed 9/11 to happen? If nothing else, the mere religious connotation is an obvious violation of church/state separations. (on edit: This is not meant to be insulting to Christianity. I've said before that I believe Jesus did die for our sins. Interpretation being 9/10ths of the law, however, this image has more than one potential meaning and like they say in the Sprite commercial, image is everything.)

There's a nice pic of the WTC with the sun in the middle, creating a cool halo effect. (do a google search, it's a popular pic.)

8. No,
I don't like it. Don't get me wrong, I love Jesus and his teachings - but there were people of all faiths who died that day, not just Christians.

It seems to play the Crusade card , and equates nationalistic pride with Christianity.

If they come out with a stamp like this, we're all in a world of shit:
