Having a star rocks

I finally donated (after 1.5 years and 2500 posts) during the fund drive, and I'm loving it. I can actually Search for things now! And posting polls is kinda fun.

10. If you donate, you get a star next to your name.

Also, certain features of the website are only available to donors. One example is the "Search" feature. That alone is worth sending a few bucks to DU. :-)

11. About stars...

Many DUers, you will notice, have a next to their name on their posts. These stars are placed next to your name after you Donate to DU (or somebody else donates in your name). Once you get a star, you also have access to various extra features on DU, like the ability to search for old posts or the ability to post polls.
