Poll question: Does Ohio State need Maurice Clarett? |
|
I have been debating this at work since it sometimes seems like the people I work with are completly politicaly ignorant. Since a majority of them are like this, so we mostly talk about sports. The question is do the Buckeye's need Maurice Clarett? I personaly think they don't need the kid because last saturday they seemed to beat up on Washington pretty damn good without him. You might have a different opinion.

I think he had Too Much Too Soon. Being the stuff at Ohio State is hard to handle but, as an 18 year old kid it's pretty damned hard. I just think he needs a reality check because he doesn't seem to be a bad kid.

4. If putting up with Maurice's punkish behavior... |
|
.. is the price my beloved Bucks have to pay for a championship season, then it's too high a price to pay. This kid needs to get his head screwed on straight. He's got a nasty chip on his shoulder the size of a submarine and is a constant disruption to the rest of the team. It's a real shame, too -- he's a fabulous talent who ought to be counting his blessings but I think he'll turn out to be another self-destructor like Randy Moss. Perhaps Maurice should consider spending his time away from football engaged in some serious counseling.

6. ran the ball well w/o him against Washington |
|
which is still a good football prgram. Clarett is a very good tailback who will hopefully get to play again for the Buckeyes but I don't know if they need him this year or not

8. They are a better team with him than without |
|
There is no disputing that. The performance was terrific against Washington, but keep in mind that Washington is a very one dimensional team that couldn't run or stop the run last year, and it appears they are no better at it.
Tougher tests lie ahead, so I guess the jury is still out, really. I think they'll miss him at some point.
