okay, everybody go hug your cat/dog |
|
My nineteen year old calico cat is dying this afternoon-evening-night whenever nature lets her go.
She's not in pain; she's just very old.
Send vibes for a peaceful crossing for this wonderful old gal, Figgy.

My other elder cat passed away last Thanksgiving. Now I've got no one to love me as they did! We do have a younger cat, but there's something about a decades-long companionship that is incomparable.

grasswire, strength and peace to you. Tis a long friendship you must let go. Our deepest condolences to you.
Just remember, the love does not end just because the vessel is old and wears out. The love remains. It always does.
peace, hm

I am so sorry. Dying painlessly from old age and not illness does not make it any easier for those of us left behind. May she go peacefully and may you find peace after her passing. It is just so very hard. I am sorry.

Now I need another box of Kleenex . . . .

Every time I get misty eyes over one of my deceased pets I read that poem and it reminds me of their happy, healthy days and that now they can once again romp and play with their animal friends. May you find comfort in knowing you had a huge part in your cat living such a wonderfully long time.
