As far as pig tails or braids it realy depends on your hair. It all depends on so much ... body type and height and so on.

I must admit to a preference for pig tails but braids are nice too and really only work for some hair types and cuts. I also like bangs on the right girl!

The meeting was a meeting. Eh. But, the boss gave us all the afternoon off and I am home and feeling frisky and ready to raise a little hell.

Damn, yer in Austin! An Internal Auditor? I do the same thing, kinda. We call it evaluation, more programmatic, less fiscal. Just as entertaining I am certain. I got a thread here in the lounge that tells how I stumbled here to DU, but mainly just a liberal/progressive type who's been trying to figure out the best of the nine to defeat Bush*. I do performance auditing (which is basically program evaluation) and not financial auditing. My undergrad degree is in Social Work after all not Accounting. :-)

Most of the folks in my office are pretty politically knowledgable. And everybody votes (or I'd kick their ass). ;-)

It may be a function of where I work. I work for the agency that runs the state juvenile correctional facilities. We have a real mandate to rehabilitate the kids and that translates into an attitude at my agency where a lot of people look at their job almost like a calling. You have to care to work with kids as bad as we get. It's kinda neat. And not what you might expect in the TX kiddie prison system. :-)

My end of Austin ain't bad today. I think it may have rained a little bit while I was at work. (Either that or they've been wattering the parking lot again.) ;-)

not at all. That sifting through information thing makes it pretty endemic to the profession, I'd guess. Juvey Corrections, huh? Have you had any experience with Drug Court stuff? I know Florida does some, haven't heard about TX?

I haven't had any experience personally with the drug court thing. Not sure if TX has drug courts for youth. Not an area we've gone in and looked at while I've been with the agency.

And that "sifting through information" thing is making it REALLY hard to pick a candidate to back for 2004. :-)

and it was YUMMY...mmmmmmmm...

We got out of the van and the smell hit us nearly a block away. When we opened the door it got even better. My stomach was grumbling loud enough to hear it over the kickin' blues music they had playing. :-) And then they handed me my plate and I sat down and had some of the best barbq sausage I've ever eaten in my life. The barbq sauce was pretty damn good too.

Oh, and it we still need a place to do the Will Pitt thing I think you can rent the downstairs room at Stubb's for about 50 bucks (this is according to a guy in my office).

I read about your weight loss (from a thread a couple of days back) -- WOW! Good for you, girl!

I eat salad and yogurt because I like them, not necessarily because I'm dieting. But one reason I eat at my desk is because, if I go out, I eat really fattening food. So it works out better for me if I stay in. Not that I can't sometimes be jealous of my fellow DUers who are enjoying yummy BBQ!
