Good thoughts, prayers, karma, (etc) needed |
|
I'm having trouble w/ my child support yet again. If I don't get a check this weekend, I'll be way short on the funds I need to make ends meet. Those of you who pray, chant, or are just willing to send me your positive thoughts and energy, I could really use it this weekend.
Thanks.

you will be in my thoughts. Does your state/county do support collects? When I went to that, the checks came in regularly, the right amount and never bounced. I recommend it if you have the option. Try to hang it, it has to get better.

The state does the collection here. For some reason, however, I had one really short check in July, and one really short check in August, and because of that, I've depleted my "back-up" fund.
I can call the state to start an inquiry, but the state gives itself 30 days to make the inquiry and the employer of the absent parent 30 days to respond. In 60 days this will be a moot point--either I'll have received some money, or I'll have starved to death.

4. You have my prayers- I've been there too |
|
Reminds me of the times when my mom had to "do what was necessary" to get the bare minimum done.
You hang in there- we made it many a time, and so can you.

Chin up, it will all work out.

I'm 27 and my dad still owes my mom thousands and thousands in back support. I don't know if your ex is a deadbeat like my dad was, but if he is, he sucks. x(

15. I know it's no help in the short run, |
|
but he's chalking up negative karma in his relationship with his offspring. Been there, lived that. The pain lessens for the caring parent but doesn't go away. They do grow up and life does go on.
When you have some $$$, try stocking up on olive oil, beans, onions, garlic, and grow an herb garden including onions and garlic. Grow tomatoes in pots if you can. And lettuce and parsley.
Swallow your pride, and go to the food pantry.
