Meet the new Dookus Dawg
Here he is! Just brought home today. A purebred English Bulldog. He's 12 weeks old, he's already doing fairly well on the leash, and he pooped outside! Yay!

I think I'm gonna call him Tucker. I also like Louie, Orson and Tank. Bow before the beauty that is my dawg.

Put a red bow tie on him and call him Tucker. Although, he's MUCH cuter than Tucker Carlson ;)

6. The whole Tucker Carlson thing
is the ONLY thing arguing against naming him that. But I wanted to name a dog Tucker long before I ever heard of Carlson.

the hard part was picking out ONE of five.

He was the most rambunctious of the bunch, according to the owner. However, if HE'S rambunctious, the others are throw-rugs. He's EXTREMELY mellow.

On the car ride home, he just sat on my boyfriend's lap and looked around, then fell asleep. Since he's been here, he's just wandered around, plopped down and napped.

great name for it. That's how I came up with "Tucker". I said "aw, look, he's all tuckered out... hey! Tucker!"

He's been great so far. He's pooped outside twice and peed three times - no indoor accidents. Of course, I'm keeping a very close eye on him and taking him out a lot. He's not terribly interested in his food, even though I got the same kind he's BEEN eating. He's just not terribly food-oriented, which I guess is good. I think it might make treat-training harder, but he seems to love attention and pets, so I get positive feedback will be his reward. I gotta find little treats he really likes.

He seems smart enough, he's getting along GREAT with the cats, and he's just cute as a bug.

Mostly because of You-Know-Who. Maybe you could name the turd "Novak" for similar effect.

Orson is a great name for a bulldog.

33. What a winner!!! This guy is the King -- I pity the raccoons now...
Really, he looks like a swell fellow, and a really good cross-species buddy to bond with. Are the cats okay with him?

As far as the names, I vote for Tucker or Orson.

I've found that I have to live with the pet a week or so, and than bam! -- out comes the perfect name.

Good going, Dook, and thanks for giving this little guy a loving home. :toast:

it's Tucker. I like a lot of other names, but Tucker seems to fit him well. Gatsby is especially good.

But Tucker lends itself to Tuckerbucker, tuckerbutt, tuckerbelly, ruckatucktucker, tuckertooter, tuckitytucktuck, etc. etc.

Whatever you call him, DON'T choose any name that sounds like a command. Then make sure he gets obedience training. It's a lot of work, but it pays off with a happy, well-adjusted, and secure dog.
