6. It is Bjork
There's an article at salon.com about her new retrospective. I haven't read it yet, but the blurb says she may be something like the most important or influential pop star of our time.

To tell the truth, I don't know all that much of Bjork's music, only what I've searched out very recently on-line. I used to not get her at all, like the following couple of posters. But one night I saw her interviewed on Charlie Rose, and I was totally drawn in by her. I found her incredibly sexy because of her mysterious, apparently profound intelligence and creative urge.

So even though I don't count myself among her biggest fans, I do know she is one powerful artistic presence.

7. Except for that god-awful out fit she wore at the Oscars
a few years ago, and especially when she actually laid an egg on the red carpet!

8. I think she's great!
I saw 'Dancer in the Dark' and she gave a stunning performance. I can't recommend it to others because it is a very intense, downer of a film for anyone who believes in justice. Oh yeah, and she can sing a little, too!

9. Yet another whiney female
Of the genre, however, she's the best of a bad lot.

10. Whiney female?!
I've never heard her whine. The emotions in her songs are a lot more complex than whininess.

15. It's Oh So Quiet
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 11:13 PM by BurtWorm
maybe?

It's Oh So Quiet by Bjork (pics)
Shhhh , Shhhh
It's , oh, so quiet
It's , oh, so still
You're all alone
And so peaceful until ...
You fall in love
Zing boom
The sky up above
Zing boom
Is caving in
Wow bam
You've never been so nuts about a guy
You wanna laugh you wanna cry
You cross your heart and hope to die
'Til it's over and then
Shhh , Shhh
It's nice and quiet
Shhh , Shhh
But soon again
Shhh , Shhh
Starts another big riot
You blow a fuse , zing boom
The devil cuts loose , zing boom
So what's the use, wow bam
Of falling in love
It's , oh, so quiet
It's , oh, so still
You're all alone
And so peaceful until ...
You ring the bell , bim bam
You shout and you yell , hi ho ho
You broke the spell
Gee, this is swell you almost have a fit
This guy is "gorge " and I got hit
There's no mistake this is it
'Til it's over and then
It's nice and quiet
Shhh , Shhh
But soon again
Shhh , Shhh
Starts another big riot
You blow a fuse
Zing boom
The devil cuts loose
Zing boom
What's the use
Wow bam
Of falling in love
The sky caves in
The devil cuts loose
You blow blow blow blow blow your fuse
When you've fallen in love
Ssshhhhhh ...

16. She looks and sounds like she's 16...but she's forty something!
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 11:16 PM by tjdee
She's got a very young face, and a very young voice...I find that fascinating...

I tried to like her music, I really did...but I never got into her music, though I think she possesses (way too many ssss?) talent.

I do LOVE Big Time Sensuality though--and It's oh so Quiet.
