You've all seen the commercials. Two women, one younger, one older, both wearing flowing white clothes. They stroll along a beach with a summer breeze gently blowing. And then comes the question. "Mom, do you douche?"

We were talking about queefs and one of the girls present demostrated that she could queef intentionally. She also added that she had no need for douches because she could use the same method that she used to queef for sucking in water from a bath and squirting it back out. We were all very impressed.

...I've read that there's a racial aspect to the marketing that douche manufacturers have done over the years. They have marketed heavily to African-American women, with the overtones that if you didn't douche, you were "unclean" and inferior.

I can't find the exact study on it, but this page on health issues and douching for black women says that 66 percent of AA women douche regularly compared to 37 percent of all women. Douching can assist many different ills, such as ectopic pregnancies, PID.
