WOW! Someone spanked Ann Coulter(+) in Wilmington OpEd section
From the Wilmington News Journal Op-Ed Section:

Coulter's book sales are supplemented

A letter writer said that Ann Coulter's book "Treason" is outselling Hillary Clinton's "Living History." There's an interesting reason for why that may be the case. Yet Hillary's book was the No. 1 best seller for some time.

Clinton's book is a good one and, unlike Coulter's, it earned its position on best seller lists, because people buy it with real money. Coulter's is being given away, and has been for several weeks, to anybody with access to a computer through online ads. It seems obvious that some conservative organization is buying these books by the truck load and giving them away to create an artificial ranking for it on best seller lists.

Coulter does neoconservative deceit exceedingly well. This ploy is a means to convince people who may not agree with neocon positions on dumping constitutional protections and war that they are in the minority, as evidenced by the sales of Coulter's books. Another flashing online ad says, "Stop Hillary! Stop her book!"

People of that ilk make use of freedoms meant for all of us to strangle those freedoms for everyone but themselves. When they have collaboration from the media, they win. Who owns the media can own public opinion.

Or that's the story we get. Whether true or not is open to question. We don't know if we don't hear the truth, whatever it may be.

XXXXXXXX, Clayton

2. This is Wilmington Delaware, not New York City
We're mainstream but lets face it Delaware is NOT the mecca of journalism

4. That's even better...
There's plenty of dissentful commentary (not enough, but more) in places like NYC, Chicago, LA, etc. It's more encouraging to see things like that appearing in papers read by (pardon the generalization) "Real, Average Americans".

3. The Prozac Queen
This is an old ploy. Coulter wanted to outdo Hillary, and the books were snapped up by the same money that pays her to write her crap.

Don't miss her card in the LOADED DECK of America's LEAST Wanted culprits. She's one of the thumbnails at

Funnnnnneeeeeeee.

5. Who is the bulk buyer?
I am sure it is one of the usual wingnuts, but I am curious as to which one it is. The bulk buyer needs to be exposed, so Ann "Thrax" Coulter can be asked about it everywhere she goes.

6. Matt Drudge, for one...
He was giving away "Treason" on his website for a while...
At least, that's what I heard: I won't click on his site and give him any hits.

11. bingo.
sciafe has done this with a lot of far right wing books that attacked clinton as well. sciafe is the crown prince of darkness and funds hundreds of organizations that push his far right wing agenda and it was his money that underwrote the smears on the clintons about whitewater, and a myriad of others.

8. Conservative Book Club
I actually got a pop up ad from them after I went to Drudge's site. I clicked on the link.

Here is the deal. You get 3 right wing books for $1 each. You then have to buy 4 discounted priced books in the next 2 years. They are offering up Sean Hannity's book, and Treason and Slander up there for $1 each. Each of those 4 books ya have to buy is 20%-50% off retail price.

Just assume $25 average price for hard cover books. Just assume the low end 20% discount on the ones you have to buy. You end up paying $80 for 7 hard cover books here, a little over $11 a book. Somebody is subsidizing this thing. I understand the Columbia record club deal where they actually send ya cd's from their own catalogue real cheap, and then make ya buy a ton of full priced crap, but these are books from different publishers, and they aren't getting that great a discount. Somebody is bulk buying the Coulter and Hannity books, big time.

9. They hand these books out at KKK, I mean neo-con gatherings
seriously. If you can stomach a visit to a neo-con gathering they'll be handing em out.

10. OK, but...
just giving away books as premiums or loss leaders isn't such a bad thing.

Seen what you get for a Buzzflash donation lately?

PBS? Your local Pacifica station?

The point here may be that just about ALL Coulter's books may be going as premiums, door prizes, and whatever.

It's not like anybody actually reads them.
